MBTI vs. K-Saju (part 6) | Identity Doesn’t Match the Moment

<Why Do I Hesitate Every Time I Have to Decide?

Gwanghwamun Wall of Gyeongbokgung Palace
It is a pattern expressed on a female dress, a low fence, on the wall of Gwanghwamun in Gyeongbokgung Palace. Bricks were piled up and ash was painted, showing a cross-shaped flame in the middle. On the outer part of the flame, a maze-like geometric pattern is continuously expressed.

- Choosing isn’t just about ability—it’s about movement

IDENTITY DOSSN'T MATCH THE MOM
K-Saju is positioned as a tool to understand these seasonal changes in an individual's life, explaining why one might feel different at various times despite having a fundamental core.

“Why does making a decision make me even more anxious?”

“I don’t even dislike the option… so why am I hesitating so much?”

The more we hesitate before a decision, the more unclear we feel about ourselves.

MBTI explains this through personality tendencies:

“You focus on future possibilities because you're an N type, and you want to decide quickly because you're a J type.

”That’s a very helpful starting point.

K-Saju looks at this situation this way:

“Is the energy flow inside you currently ready to make a choice?”

- What makes someone avoid decisions?

Each person has energy patterns that tend to activate repeatedly.

If Resource energy is strong, they tend to focus on gathering information and preparing.

If Authority is dominant, they think first about what is right or responsible.

This kind of structure can offer a sense of stability—

but it also increases pressure about “whether this decision is right.”

Especially when Output is weak, it can be hard to express feelings outwardly or translate decisions into action.

K-Saju reads decision-making difficulties through this basic structure and flow.

For instance, those with strong Resource energy might keep collecting information and miss the timing.

A structure with strong Authority may hesitate due to the pressure of not wanting to make mistakes.

When Output is weak, even expressing thoughts and feelings becomes difficult—so decisions tend to be postponed.

In this way, K-Saju shows how your energy composition and flow affect your response when facing decisions.

- Does the current flow support movement?

Sometimes, the reason decisions are hard is because your current energy flow encourages stillness more than movement.

For example, if your Sewoon (세운: se-woon) — the yearly energy flow — is in Earth (토: to) energy,

you may feel a stronger desire to preserve the current state rather than make changes.Or if your Daewoon (대운: dae-woon) — the 10-year life cycle — is moving through Resource energy,

you may gather lots of data but take a long time to move into action.

If the flow itself is pushing for stillness and contemplation,

then your current inability to decide isn’t a failure of will—

it’s a signal that this is a time for pause rather than action.

- When outer pressure makes decisions harder

Hesitation doesn’t come from your structure alone.

Outside influences—like other people’s energy or the pressure of your environment—also make decisions more difficult.

For example, if your Companion energy (relationship, connection, resonance) is particularly sensitive right now,

and the people around you are divided in opinion or overly involved, your decision-making can easily be shaken by these external signals.

K-Saju looks at your Wonguk (your original energy structure at birth), your current flow, and how those interact with outside energies.

It helps you distinguish whether your hesitation comes from your own internal pause—or from tension caused by external clashes.

It helps guide you toward the right timing and approach depending on the source of the hesitation.

- Hesitation is part of the flow

K-Saju says:

“The hesitating version of you is still you. Right now, there’s simply a flow that wants to be more careful.”

Postponing a decision isn’t failure—

it’s a sense of wanting to watch a little longer.

For example, if the energy of Fire (화: hwa) — expression and action — hasn’t yet arrived, and Water (수: su) — emotion and preparation — is active, then what you need might not be decision-making but emotional coordination.

Decision is about timing.

The moment to move will come—when you're naturally ready.

- Hesitation is a breath before the choice

K-Saju says:

“Maybe right now, waiting fits better than choosing.”

MBTI tells you how you tend to think through decisions.

K-Saju shows you where in the flow that hesitation is coming from.

So you can say to yourself:

“Hesitation was also a choice. I was waiting for the right timing.”
