MBTI vs. K-Saju (part 5)

MBTI vs. Saju (Part 05) –Self-Knowledge Isn’t Enough—And Timing Takes Over

<Why Do I Keep Repeating the Same Patterns?>

- “I Did It Again.” Repetition Comes from Rhythm, Not Will

“Why did I make that choice again?”

“I thought it’d be different this time, but I fell into the same emotion.”

These thoughts often come from self-blame. Repetition feels like failure.

K-Saju asks a different question:

“Is the current flow making you repeat a certain kind of movement?”

MBTI explains which repeated thoughts or behaviors are rooted in our innate tendencies.K-Saju adds the timing of your flow and your structural response.

Repetition isn’t just a habit—it can be a wave created by structure and timing.

- Patterns Come from Structure

Everyone has energetic patterns that show up frequently.

For example, someone with strong Output energy tends to express and produce quickly.

Someone with strong Companion energy is often drawn to relationships and reacts easily to others.

K-Saju looks at these traits through the Wonguk—your energy composition at birth.

It’s like an internal wiring diagram that shows which channels your emotions and behaviors flow through most often.

The patterns you repeat may not be a problem, but rather a natural activation of your internal structure.

They are signs that say, “This is the path I often move through.”

- Repetition Comes from the Meeting of Flow and Structure

Even with the same structure, your patterns may shift depending on your current flow.

For example, during a Daewoon (10-year energy flow) period where Authority energy—responsibility, control, discipline—is strong,

you may feel more compelled to take responsibility or restrain yourself more than usual.

This might lead to distancing in relationships or suppressing your emotions.

This kind of repetition doesn’t mean your essence has changed.

It means that the current flow is reacting to your structure in this specific way.

So instead of thinking “I failed again,”

you might come to see, “This phase of life is simply activating that kind of response in me.”

- Same Pattern, Different Emotions

Even if behaviors repeat, emotions can respond differently each time.

If a certain situation leaves you drained with one person, but calm with another—

that’s because of energy interaction.

This interaction refers to how your energy and the other person’s energy meet and respond to each other.

For instance, the other person’s expressive energy might stimulate your internal control energy,or your emotional flow may clash with their logical structure.

K-Saju looks at these responses between structures

to help you understand, “Why did I end up stuck here again?”

- It’s Not About Stopping Repetition, But Shifting the Flow

K-Saju says:

“Don’t try to force yourself to stop the repetition. Try adjusting your flow and structure.”

For example, if your current flow is heavy with Fire (expression, stimulation),

it may help to delay decisions or spend more time alone.

On the other hand, if your Resource (stability, rest) flow is too dominant,

it might help to consciously create movement.

What matters is not denying the repetition,

but recognizing its rhythm and developing a sense of timing for different choices.

- Repetition Is the Most Concrete Language of the Self

There’s one simple reason why certain patterns keep repeating:

“Because that structure and flow are still active within me.”

MBTI shows you the personality-based roots of those patterns.

For example, someone with an F (Feeling) tendency may react sensitively to emotional signals in relationships,

while someone with a P (Perceiving) preference may have a tendency to delay decisions.

K-Saju shows you when those patterns arise and what structure and flow are at play.

That’s why you may come to say:

“This repetition was another signal. I can meet the next timing with something new.”
